Say ‘Aloe to Great skin – Forever *

Who are Forever?

Founded in 1978 Forever are best known for their Aloe Vera Gel drink, known for it’s health giving properties and containing 96% pure Aloe Vera.

Forever are the largest manufacturer and distributor of Aloe Vera, so they know their product and have diversified in the last 40 years into quite a few areas which include nutritional and weight management products and now skincare, under the name Infinite.

Infinite Skincare

Infinite by Forever

My local Forever representative Claire kindly sent me a set of Infinite products to try.

Now, I’m always happy to try and review products, but what made me even more super excited than usual were words, like ‘Hydrating‘ , ‘Firming‘, ‘Vitamin C’ and… ‘Collagen‘ πŸ˜€πŸ‘

True to it’s origins each skincare product in the  Infinite range contains Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice to be very precise) as it’s first ingredient.  More often than not it will be Aqua (water).

I have come across Aloe Vera once before in Maui hair products, which made my hair super soft, hydrated and manageable so I had high hopes for Infinite before I had even dispensed, applied or smoothed a drop…

Infinite Advanced Skincare Care System

Infinite by Forever

The system is a combination of 4 products that you can purchase as a set, or as singles – which is useful as who finishes all their products at the same time?

Hydrating Cleanser

Infinite by Forever Hydrating Cleanser

Smart purple and silver packaging which at first it annoyed me a bit!?   You see the top (silver part which I will also confusingly call the bottom) doesn’t come off, you twist the top and squeeze the tube and the cleanser comes out.

This does cause a bit of a messy bottom – to get over this (worse problems to have!) you just need to get all the product residue off the bottom (or do I mean top!) before you put in on the shelf (or you could just lie it on its side πŸ˜†)

The cleanser itself is really good.  It is a creamy consistency containing as expected Aloe Vera but also other hydrating ingredients such as cocoa, sunflower oil and Vitamin E.

To use you just add water,  it doesn’t produce much foam but turns into a milky (fragrance free) face wash.

Now I have got past my issue with the packaging (!) I’m really enjoying using this.

My skin feels clean and soft after use, which is what you want from a face wash, plus it hasn’t reacted (i.e. no spots or day patches).

Firming Serum

This is my Step 2.

In case you don’t already know, apply serum before moisturiser on your face and neck…

I’ve always known that the skin on your neck can give away your age, but I admit over the years I have been a bit hit and miss with applying products here – and it is starting to show πŸ˜”

I wish I could turn back time but at least I can try and slow things down.  If you don’t already apply products to your neck – start NOW!

Like any product applied to your neck you are trying to defy gravity – long upward strokes are what’s required.

A good serum for your face (and neck), not too runny, easily absorbed.

Restoring Creme

Step 3 is moisturiser (no SPF).  Once again Forever have come up with some pretty unique packaging.

To me the packaging for this moisturiser looks more like a jar or a bottle of tablets.  You dispense the product by pressing down on the lid.

I have now discovered there is a logic to the packaging… give the top a full press and  you get the correct amount to use.

This moisturiser has some great anti ageing ingredients (over 15).

It contains acai, pomegranate and vitamin B3 which Forever say helps even out skin tone.

I’ve been a bit spotty recently and have a few red marks on my face, which I think they have started to fade a bit quicker than usual, plus my skin tone is looking more even.

Fragrance free my skin loves this and it drinks it in, it doesn’t sit on the skin and therefore makes a great base for foundation.

Firming Complex

Step 4.  I think it is a pretty safe bet to say that most of us have a daily skincare routine which is at least Two Step – Cleanser + Moisturiser.

You may also apply a serum, and hopefully a daily SPF, but – “Do you take a collagen supplement?”

If you are a regular reader of this blog you will no doubt be aware that I will do almost anything (!) to get more collagen into me.

Collagen is what keeps skin looking good, soft but also firm.  We also need it for our joints and ligaments but it does gradually decline as we get older – and by older I mean from your 20’s,  so few of us are immune.

Forever Firming Complex tablets not only containing collagen (🐟) but also Vitamin C.  Vitamin C helps support your body to produce more collagen so it is the perfect partner.

The tablets also include biotin which is great for hair.

Easy to take, 2 tablets a day, gluten free.

I’m convinced that taking a collagen supplement makes my skin feel and look better, and of course that is ALL of my skin.

A new discovery

Forever Catalogue

I hadn’t heard of Infinite by Forever before.  Discovering a new brand is always very exciting and especially when they are appealing to my skin care concerns – i.e. getting older.

All of the products I’ve tried are excellent – My Favourite?  It’s between the Restoring Creme and the Firming Complex (tablets).

The Advanced Skin Care set is a great way to discover the whole range, it contains full size products (which you can purchase separately):

  • Hydrating Cleanser 118ml
  • Firming Serum 30ml
  • Restoring Creme 48g
  • Firming Complex 60 tablets
