However on a recent trip to TK Maxx, Hedge End, Southampton I picked up this mask by Jean Pierre.
As you may already know I am a big fan of Korean skincare and, luckily for me, TK Maxx seem to have a few Korean Brands coming in – thanks to daisydoll65 who informs me TK Maxx Cardiff has a whole Korean Beauty section 🙂
The mask in the piccie above is often referred to as a Plastic or Rubber type of mask.
In case you don’t know these masks come in powder form, which you mix with water and then apply to your face and they set – the idea being once they set your skin absorbs the beneficial ingredients.
I was hoping for plumped up and moisturised skin…
I followed the instructions and mixed up the whole lot (mistake), it was blue, smelt nice and it went on OK. I say OK as it was a bit lumpy despite my best efforts to give it all a good mix.
There was also far too much product though for one face! and once mixed you can’t keep it as it sets. So a tip from me would be to initially mix up a 1/3 and see how you get on.
Mask – pre mixing
Mask – with water added and stirred
Still is was fun to use and relatively cheap about, approx £2.99. Not sure I would purchase it again though as it was a bit messy to use and I can’t say my skin felt or looked improved after.
However the Collagen/Rubber Mask did make for you one scary looking beauty blogger – be good to hang up in the window at Halloween!
