Natural Floss
Georganics are English manufacturer of natural and zero waste oral care products – I’ve just switched to their dental floss.
Regular dental floss and tape that you can buy for less than a £1 at the supermarket are basically the same product and made from nylon which comes from crude oil. Packaging is usually made from plastic which may or may not be recycled.
I didn’t start to seriously floss until I started having my teeth straightened via Invisalign. But if you are having any type of orthodontics work you need to be on top of your oral care to ensure your gums are in tip top condition.
Today I get through a lot of floss so thought I should switch to a planet friendly floss. Choosing which floss to buy was easy as the cuteness of the Georganics little glass bottle sold it to me. This is zero waste with style!
I paid £4.90 for their Natural Floss – Spearmint in the glass bottle with lid. Going forward I will be buying the refills which come in a duo pack for £6.90 (2 x 30 meters).
The glass bottle not only means it is plastic free but also means you can easily see when you are going to run out. The floss is made from 100% natural silk and is fully compostable as is the packaging.
