De-Clutter 2020 – Sheet Masks, Conditioner, Skin Care*

February 29, 2020

I’m following on from my recent post re handcream and my attempts to de-clutter my beauty stash and use up as opposed to stock up on products.

Here is an empties post for you.  Could also be called samples and one use only products as the de-cluttering has extended now to my box of samples and face masks.

On my face this week!

JiiNju Adocado Sheet Mask

I love sheet masks for the convenience of them and the fact that you don’t need to rinse it all off afterwards. This one I picked up at Superdrug and is a fibre mask, made in Korea.

It smelt lovely and was easy to unravel and left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. I would definitely get this again.

£3.99 but often on offer at Superdrug

111 Skin Cellulose Mask

This one also made in Korea for 111Skin has a few more claims than just moisturising : Brightening, Moisturising and Collagen Stimulation.  Its a cellulose mask that is sandwiched between 2 sheets.

A bit of a faff to unpack and unravel but once on it did a really lovely job and my skin felt very soft and hydrated after and needed less moisturiser.  Recommend use 3 times a week, but at £20 each… more of a luxury item?

111 Skin masks from £20 shop at

Toni & Guy Volume Plumping Whip

Got the tangles out and did seem to make my hair feel a bit thicker.  I have fine hair, but fortunately quite a lot of it.

I must have had this a long time as it seems to have been discontinued as I can’t find it on the Tony & Guy site – when it’s gone it’s gone!

Philip Kingsley Smooth Cream

20 ml sample tube which was enough for 3 washes.  My hair is bleached and the top layers can get really matted when wet – not using conditioner is never an option.

This did a good job at getting the tangles out but no wow factor.  Philip Kingsley do some great hair products but this isn’t the star of the show for me – just as well as again it seems to no longer be available.

Sanex Hydrate 24h Shower Cream

Absolutely fine, smells nice and dermatologically tested aimed at dry skin.  If you have sensitive or dry skin this may be for you but at the moment my love affair with Sol de Janeiro Shower Cream continues.  I am obsessed with the scent!

And just seen that the Shampoo and Conditioner IS now available in the UK – typical,  you make a space only for something to come along and fill it! ???

Time to go shopping again!
